01Who we are

PickWire (the “app”) is provided by:

We are the party responsible for your personal data (the “data controller” under the EU/UK GDPR, and the equivalent role under Brazil’s LGPD). If you have any question about this policy or your data, email us at the address above.

02What PickWire does

PickWire screens upcoming and live football matches to provide you with near-realtime insights and picks — a match “angle” with a brief piece of reasoning. The picks and reasoning are provided for entertainment purposes only and do not constitute betting or financial advice.

Push notifications are one of the app’s core features: you choose to turn them on, and we send selected picks to your device. You can browse all our latest picks in the app itself.

03Information we collect

We collect only what we need to run the service. We do not ask you to register, and we do not collect your name, email address, phone number, contacts, photos, precise GPS location, or payment details.

Identifiers

• Push notification token — a unique token that your operating system and Firebase assign to your app installation so we can deliver notifications to your device.
• Device identifier and anonymous user identifier — an identifier for your app installation, and an anonymous ID assigned by Firebase Authentication (anonymous sign-in; there is no email, password, or social login). These let us recognise your installation across sessions and manage your notification subscription. We hold no name, email address, or other contact details that they could be linked to.

Approximate location

• We derive an approximate location (region) from your device’s IP address so we can show content relevant to you. We store this approximate location because it is needed to route the right notifications to you. We do not store the IP address itself.

Usage and diagnostic data

• Through Firebase Analytics we collect information about how the app is used — in-app events and interactions, general device and operating-system type, app version, and similar diagnostic information — to keep the app running and to improve it. We collect this only if you have agreed to share anonymous usage data, and you can change that choice at any time in the app’s privacy settings.

Information stored on your device

• The app stores small amounts of information locally on your device so it works as expected. This includes a generated installation identifier, onboarding and notification-snooze status, and a live-update setting. We do not send this information to our servers. Clearing the app’s data removes it from your device. On Android, this information may also be included in your device’s automatic backup to your Google account and restored if you reinstall the app; you can control this in your device’s backup settings.

04How we use your information

• To deliver the push notifications you have turned on.
• To show content relevant to your region.
• To measure how the app is used and to maintain, troubleshoot, and improve it.
• To keep the service secure and prevent misuse.
• To comply with our legal obligations.

We do not sell your data or use it for profiling.

05Advertising and promotional content

PickWire is free to use. To support the service and keep it free, we may show advertising and promotional content in the app. Ads and promotional links are provided by third parties. If an ad is displayed or you tap a promotional link, that third party receives technical information — such as your IP address, device type, and language — directly from your device, and handles it under its own privacy policy. We do not receive or store this information.

06Legal bases for processing

Where the EU/UK GDPR or Brazil’s LGPD applies to you, we rely on the following bases:

• Your consent — you choose to turn on notifications, and we rely on your consent for analytics. You can withdraw consent at any time (see “Your choices and rights”).
• Our legitimate interests — operating, securing, and improving the app, in a way that respects your rights and freedoms.
• Legal obligation — where we are required by law to process or retain certain information.

If you are elsewhere in the world, we process this information on the same basis: only what is needed to provide the notifications you asked for and to run the service.

07Service providers and third parties

Google (Firebase)

We use Google’s Firebase platform to run the app: Firebase Cloud Messaging (to deliver notifications), Firebase Analytics (to measure usage), and Firebase Authentication (to assign the anonymous identifier). For this data, Google acts as our data processor (a “service provider” under US state laws) and processes it on our behalf and under our instructions. Google may store and process this data on its infrastructure, including in countries outside your own.

App stores

The app is distributed through the Apple App Store and Google Play. When you download or use the app, these stores handle some data under their own privacy policies, which we do not control.

08Notifications and how to turn them off

Notifications are a core feature, and they are always your choice. You can turn them off at any time in your device’s settings for PickWire. When you turn notifications off or uninstall the app, we stop sending you picks once Firebase reports the registration token as invalid, and we then discard the related registration (see “How long we keep data”).

09How long we keep data

• Push token, anonymous identifiers, and approximate location: kept while your installation is subscribed to notifications. We discard a registration when Firebase reports its token as invalid. Because we attempt notification delivery daily, this normally occurs within 24 hours of a token becoming invalid, plus Firebase Cloud Messaging’s internal processing time.
• Usage and diagnostic data: Firebase Analytics retains event data for 2 months. It retains user data for 14 months, with that period restarting when the user is active.

10International data transfers

We are based in Brazil, and our provider Google is based in the United States, so your information may be processed in countries other than the one you live in, including other countries where our providers operate infrastructure. Where required by law, such transfers are protected by appropriate safeguards, such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses and equivalent mechanisms.

11Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access the data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, receive a copy of it, and withdraw consent. Under Brazil’s LGPD you may also have the right to confirmation that we process your data, to request its anonymisation or blocking, and to information about the parties with whom we share it. You may also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority (for example, your national supervisory authority in the EU/UK, or the ANPD in Brazil).

Because we do not collect your name or email, we can only identify your data by the identifiers on your device. To make a request, email office@e2-latam.com; we may need some information from you to locate the right records.

You can also limit or stop collection yourself at any time. In the app’s settings you can turn off “Share usage data anonymously”, which stops analytics collection immediately; the app keeps working either way. You can also turn off notifications in your device settings, clear the app’s data (which generates a new installation identifier), and uninstall the app. On Android, reinstalling the app may restore your previous app data from your device’s automatic backup, so clearing the app’s data is the more reliable option.

12Age and eligibility

PickWire is designed as entertainment for an adult audience and is intended for users who are of legal age in their country. It is not designed for or directed at minors.

13Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures designed to protect your information against loss, misuse, and unauthorised access. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

14Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the revised version on this page and update the “Last updated” date above. Significant changes may be signalled in the app.
